DAVIDE CARBONE

In 1990 Davide formed FSOM, one of Australia's longest running electronic acts. Within two years Davide and FSOM had received contracts from Jeff Mills, Frank De Wulf and Carl Cox.

A number five placing in the Mix Mag Dance charts, rave reviews, support performances for Tricky, Prodigy, Carl Cox, Jeff Mills and Bjork, and a 1996 ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Award) helped propel Davide onto the international stage.

Apart from a string of releases for several of the major Australian record labels, Davide has also produced several popular scores for T.V, film, computer games and theatre. His recent clients have included Discovery Channel, London Weekend Television, Clemenger and CyberStep.

In 1995 Davide began directing his DJ'ing and production towards the realm of D&B and played alongside Roni Size, Ed Rush & Optical, Grooverider, Kenny Ken & Doc Scott. The following year Davide released Australia's first D&B tune on a major record label (Warner Music), and went on to remix several hit songs for charting Australian acts. During the nineties Davide retained his association with Australian radio by presenting weekly shows on stations such as 3RRR FM and KISS 90FM, most recently a weekly ninety minute D&B session on prime time KISS FM.

In 1999 Davide performed a three hour set at one of the world biggest music festivals, Roskilde in Denmark. From this point Davide relocated himself to the UK.Since then he has released over fifteen tracks on labels including BS1 Records, 31 Records, Defunked, React Music, Industry Recordings and Trouble On Vinyl. In this time he has received excellent reviews and features in magazines including Mix Mag, DJ, Jockey Slut, Knowledge, Muzik and IDJ. Davide has also had several chart successes and support from several of the biggest dj's and radio stations in the Europe.
